Office: Scotland (Campbell Dallas)
University: Glasgow University
Degree: Bacc Hons

I am currently in the third year of my CA contract, with my final exam in May of this year.

I have enjoyed my CA training experience with Campbell Dallas as it has provided me with a broad view of businesses of all sizes. While many of my university peers have gone on to spend the majority of their time under contract on pure audit assignments, I have had the opportunity to be involved in a whole host of additional advisory projects. Grant claims and proposals to banks for funding supplement the traditional audit and accountancy work conducted within the standard CA firm.

I also have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients. From an audit point of view, I work with clients primarily across the retail, manufacturing and construction industries, meaning I have encountered a wide range of business processes and practices. At the other end of the scale, my position provides me with access to a number of ‘larger’ small companies, and I am able to provide assistance in tackling the challenges faced by growing businesses.

From the point of view of my studies, I have found Campbell Dallas an excellent environment within which to undertake my CA training. The office contains a number of young staff in various stages of professional contracts, supplemented with the experience of approachable managers and partners to assist in development.

Obviously my primary focus is to pass the upcoming exam and become fully qualified. In terms of Campbell Dallas, I look forward to tackling the challenges brought about by the growth of the firm and of our clients.
